Well, here I go again! Blogging, that is. Tried it before and didn't do very well. I think I blogged about 5 times over a year or was it that long. Not sure, but it doesn't matter now. I have been thinking about trying to blog again for several weeks. Then today, my daughter said, "You should blog again." That did it. That was all I needed to try again. So, my goal is to blog at least once a week and possibly twice a week.
So, a little about me to introduce myself. I am a Christian, Jesus is my Lord and Savior. I belong to a small little country church. My profession is a speech therapist for 27 1/2 years in the public schools. I love my job and am more patient now, than I was when younger. My base school is the middle school (ms). Other schools I service is the high school (hs), the district alternative school, if there are any students there that need speech therapy, and several Catholic schools. You see, I seem to be the traveling therapist in my district. But I like that. I like going to other schools and seeing other people, getting out and about. I travel two days a week. Monday, I leave my middle school to have lunch, then the alternative school and the two catholic schools. For my Wednesday schedule, I am at the ms for over an hour, then off to one of the catholic schools, the alternative school, lunch and back to the ms. I feel getting lunch those days, is a perk. Not much of one, but sometimes, it's the little things that make us happy.
I also scrapbook and a want to be photographer. It's more like I take pictures than I am a photographer. Hopefully, I will get better with practice and my brand new camera, my daughter and her boyfriend gave me for Christmas. It is a Canon, SX50 HS. Haven't learned a lot yet, but I will. Saturday, I took a lot of pictures at the ms regional wrestling tournament using the sports setting. My ms, has five wrestlers going to state. So proud, of those guys.
I am an animal lover and owner of a dog. He is a schnauzer mix, has a brindle coat and is very energetic. His name is Scruffy because his hair is scruffy when grown out. I did have an orange long haired cat, named Peaches but had to give her to the local county animal shelter this past fall. She was an older cat and I was afraid she wouldn't get adopted, but she did. That made me so happy.
Well, enough for now. See you real soon.
